Social Teaching 2019

          Let me introduce myself. My name's Nuril Hafidlotul Ilmi. Call me Nuril for short. I'm from Surabaya. I was born on 2nd March 1999. I'm 4th semester in English Teacher Education Department of Teacher and Tarbiyah Faculty of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. I like to communicate with everyone. I love being with a lot of people, I love to socialize. I also like the kind of charity activities. I always feel that I get a lot of energy when I meet people and do outside activities. And, I have been joined in several Social Teaching programs.

              I once attended a social teaching program for street children under the cover of the "Save Street Children Surabaya" community organized by the Student Association English Teacher Education Department (Himaprodi PBI). I also attended the same social teaching program that organized by Unit of Foreign Language Development (UKM UPBA), but the thing that made this program different was, I didn’t teach the street children but I taught the elementary school children in the isolated village for one week and stayed at the RW hall in that village. I was very touched by the struggle of children who were always eager to learn even though they were constrained by road access to schools and school facilities that were less supportive of teaching and learning activities due to the conditions. In addition to teaching at school, my team and I also had the opportunity to teach the children there, not forgetting that at the same time we were socializing with the people who were there. Discuss how to live in areas far from urban areas, what people do there to earn income, and so on. The implementation of this program coincided with the Republic of Indonesia's independence day so we also held a competition to commemorate it. Hold a competition for children there. These activities are almost the same as KKN activities in general, but the long duration of this social teaching program is shorter and the programs applied to serve the community are simpler than the KKN general programs. And, Alhamdulillah in the following year I was elected to be the chief of the social teaching program. My team and I hold social teaching activities again for a full week in an isolated village. Besides social teaching, we also hold social services (charity) by distributing basic necessities such as food ingredients and some household utensils.

          Besides, I love reading a story. Such as comic, novel, wattpad, webtoon, and etc. I also like to write some story, yeah just for fun heheh. I like listening to all genres of music as long as it's good to listen to. I like watching a movie, especially an action movie like Avenger the movie :D . At last but not least, I also like drawing, sketching, designing, and so on.
